Thought I'd give one of these a try. They sell for significantly less than a regular Les Paul Standard and come with 24 frets and the good 498T/490T pickups. Not sure why they don't get a lot of love as I think this thing is beautiful.

Somebody on some YouTube video said that Gibson got heat from PRS's attorneys and quit making them. I have no idea if there is any truth to that. The 2015 double cuts also change the cutaway and horn shapes. The old ones I like.-------------------------

I was never a huge fan, preferring offset (natch, Fender style) horns as a young guitarist. But seeing guys like Gary Moore & Steve Stevens playing Hamer's take on the shape turned me on to them.
