Looks great! I saw those at NAMM 2014. Quite a bit of ergonomics were involved in building that model for John Petrucci. The arc of the controls were designed optimally for Petrucci's arm. The pickup selector switch was also designed for him as he claimed he could hear a lag when switching between bridge and neck pickups during fast runs. So they made a switch that has less "bounce" when you flip it so it responds quicker. Lots of stuff that you don't visibly see. Or so I was told by one of the EB designers. He was at the booth at NAMM unofficially and struck up a conversation with me when I was taking pixCongrats!

I've got two original JP6 guitars and one thing I liked about these as compared to all the other models that's come out is that it's so drastically different. In my opinion it's a huge leap forward! It's the most comfortable and even playing guitar that I've ever played! It so well balanced not only in weight but also the string height and the way the notes ring out. It's like everything about it is ergonomically correct.

Interestingly EB has now made what could be described as a "Guthrie inspired" JP model with a burnt maple neck.
The JP15 features a lightweight okoume body with your choice of a quilted or flame maple top, offered in striking Red Tide, Green Tiger Eye, Ultramarine, and Amber Waves finishes. Its roasted figured maple neck and fingerboard deliver a smooth, fast-playing surface enhanced by stainless steel frets and a hand-rubbed oil and wax finish for natural comfort. Electronics include DiMarzio Illuminator pickups, a piezo-equipped bridge for realistic acoustic tones, and an onboard 20+dB gain boost for added punch and tonal range. The piezo system supports mono or stereo output, letting you route magnetic and piezo signals through separate chains. Two 3-way toggle switches give you full control—one selects between magnetic, piezo, or combined output, while the other toggles between bridge, neck, or both magnetic pickups. A push/push tone knob splits the coils in the middle position for added versatility. Additional features include a floating Music Man JP tremolo, locking Schaller tuners, and a Mono case, with 6- and 7-string configurations available.
Congrats bjammer! No doubt it plays great.
