I got this from my friend Roy the owner of RSguitarworks and he did some nice upgrades.
Fret level/recrown, new bone nut,RS pot upgrade kit,Old Dimarzio PAF pick ups.
Included was a new G&G form fit black tolex case with the crushed velour interior.
The guitar is absolutely a killer player.

Very cute. I have an '82 red bolt on version and find it bulky to play though. Fat tone though, sounds bigger than my JEMS and it has the same Paf Pro P/U in it.

Yeah mine are the bolt on too but like you said they scream. I have 20 or so guitars and my beat up destroyer kills them all tone wise.

The original were basswood with a maple neck IIRC.
These are mahogany body with a set neck.

Never saw mention of birch wood being used but you probably know more about these than I do.
I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't use Japanese ash like they did on tons of guitars they made.
Hellbat this one is from the recent limited run they did.

Apparently the neck is 3 ply birch too. Only on the 1980- destroyer ll. The 82 model had maple. I have both woohoo.

Ah, I didn't realize they re-issued them. I would own one of those for sure. My OCD would require me to put in a cream/white neck pickup though. For me uncovered/covered is kind of like the guitar equivalent of ass to mouth.

LOL I love the way that Destroyer looks! A2M can be okay.
I've always been a fan of one pickup covered and the other not. The Jimmy Page look is cool.

Thats the way the originals came so I see no reason to change it.
The neck pick up they used is an air Norton so it sounds fine.
