Ebony or Birdseye?

Now that I'm sending my dream Carvin back that I bought used (thread on the damage from a few days ago). I was thinking of having one made.
I would be getting the purple quilt top with the triple step burst finish with matching headstock. what would you get ebony board or birdseye to go with that finish?

My friend has a purple quilted, gold hardware US Masters with Birdseye and it looks awesome.

I'd go with whatever you prefer feel-wise rather than looks-wise as I think either will look good. Which model are you ordering? I'm ordering a CT4 soon.

I'm not picky feel wise, I have mostly rosewood, one ebony, one birdseye maple, and 2 maple. I prefer the feel of no neck binding.

Ebony, maple and rosewood all look nice with purple, but IMO, the ebony looks just a tiny bit cooler.
