  • Musikraft Dinky

This used to have the Model 88 neck on it. The body is a Black Walnut Musikraft Charvel Style Dinky. I wanted a different look so I had Musikraft make this maple/ebony Strat head. It's 12"-16" radius, 1 11/16" nut, 2 1/4" heel thin C shape. They were out of Dunlop 6000's so I had them send it to me without frets and did the fret job myself since I have a pound or more of 6000 in my shop. It has a Floyd Special with big brass block and German arm and collar. Decent freakin trems with the upgrades, no issues at all. Also has a Pro-Mod Knob of Death.

The body is allot darker than it looks in the pics, the sun was shining like a bitch here in Florida

Looks great! What's the neck relief like--is it perfectly flat?

I usually do a really picky/detailed level on my fret jobs so I have this set up flat, plus they did a super job on the neck and that helps.

Hey Plon, did you finished the body yourself or did you had Musikraft do it?

I did it myself, used pure tung oil mixed 50/50 with citrus solvent.

Awesome! And nice with the lighter colored streak in the middle. It almost looks like a rocket flame exhaust.

I'm going to get something similar. I did the reserach and it is cheaper to get the parts from Musikraft than from Warmoth.

Thanks everyone. I highly recommend Musikraft. The fit of the neck to the body is just incredibly accurate, I literally had to push the heel into the pocket. It may be because the oil swelled the wood a little, but a friend of mine built one a while ago and his was the same, nice and tight.
