Those new JR's have maple fretboards!!

Well... now that I know its got a carbonized maple fretboard... its a little less painfull - but when I playing it, and looking at the fretboard thinking it was supposed to be rosewood - I said "that looks like pressboard."

The TV Yellow one I played was better than the sunburst - the frets were decently dressed, the ends were not sharp - though some of them had crushed wood around them from too much insertion pressure. Anyway - the satin/faded finish always kills it for me. Not bad for $500... better used at $300.
