  • Ibanez S370 DX

I've been offered one of these as a trade for my Epiphone Les Paul. I can't find very much info on them, does anyone have one?

The look pretty cool, although I already have a Jackson JDR-94 and an SL3 so I'm not sure if I need this.

Well, I already have an Epiphone Black Beauty and a Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded - that's why I thought of trading the Epi LP Standard.

Iagree about the thin bodies - I had a Jackson Stealth EX a wee while ago and I really wasnt too keen on the thin contoured body.

There was an S470 on ebay last night with an opening bid of only £150 and it never got a single bid. That puts me right off - Epi LPs go no problem for about £180.

Plus the guy has never responded to my asking for some photos. Someone else is offering to buy me an Epi Flying V to trade (I asked for one of those in my wanted ad).

It's not cause it didn't sell online that it's worthless. Also how much more popular is Epiphone and Gibson products in general to ibanez guitars... ? In those prices, you're looking at a lot of new guitar players or some with little experience. I remember when i started playing, all i knew was Fender and Gibson. The s470 isn't cheap enough to sell for beginners like their Gio series is, and it's basically just a korean built version of their ancestor, the s540 or Sabre. Anyways, im not trying to convince you, but i can tell you one thing these guitars are surprisingly versatile. The tone is really unique and playing it is just great. Everytime i've had an S series in my collection, I'd always find myself playing just that. A couple years ago i had a Prestige S2020x, this thing i could never put down. It was a fantastic guitar and had a piezo on it... what more could i ask :P. Anyways, if you're not sure.. just try one out somewhere. If you think you're happier with your Les Paul, then don't make a mistake. Different strokes for different folks. I think i really wanted a Les Paul more than i like what they are. The only one i ever liked was my old 99' Studio ++ Gibson LP. Anyways toodles

Well, it's all moot, the guy that offered it still never bothered replying to my text. Kinda weird when he was the one that initiated the communication, but fuck it.
I got a cash offer of £180, so I decided to take that. Maybe I'll buy a Flying V if one comes up.
