    Hey everyone,
New here, but enjoying the forums for sure. Some posts were helpful when i re-finished this guitar. Any help in identifying it would be appreciated. I don't believe it's anything special at all but it sounds sweet and I'm just curious.

It's nothing Jackson or Charvel, the body points are all wrong.

I agree not a J/C at all but if it plays great that's all that matters.
      Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I agree, is that posted on the Official Jackson page?

Yeah, it's posted there too Jason. I knew it wasn't a J or C, in fact I can't seem to find anything in that body shape. I suspect it is just a mutt, the neck is really nice, pickups sound better than cheapie low-line imports, but it's a cheap plywood body and the fit is not good to the neck. One guy told me he thought it was an old Profile because the strap mount was on the back of the neck. For what $$ I have in it, I'm happy and will be good for me to learn on. I play bass but want to learn guitar.
Have another project in the works, a yellow and black EVH replica for a friend of mine.
Will post picks when it's finished!
          Thanks for the input.

Hey Rockerboy, It looks like it's a Memphis from the late 80s or early 90s. Look at this ad (sorry couldn't find any other photos of it and no, it's not mine). Everything matches down to the trem type, body carves, headstock shape and control layout.

Hey thanks man, that definately looks like the same guitar!!! Not sure it's something to be proud of or not, lol. But then again, it sounds pretty sweet, looks good and besides that, my drummer's bro is determined to buy it from me, hahahaaaa!

Doubt that it will ever be any type of collector's item. If you're not into keeping it, sell away
