  • NGD - Grosh ElectraJet!

    FedEx delivered this on Monday:

And for EVH fans, here's a little tip of the hat to Eddie:

    Specs on this guitar:

    - Ash body (nice light weight)
    - Maple neck and fingerboard
    - Stainless steel 6105 frets
    - Floyd Rose with D-Tuna
    - Grosh Blown 59 (bridge) and custom Grosh Fat 60's (neck) pickups
    - 4-way switch for pickup selection
    - the color is called "sunburst orange pearl"

This is my first ash guitar and it sounds incredible. Needless to say, the guys at Grosh put together one heckuva great guitar and the setup is unreal: low action with no buzzing and the fretwork truly perfectly done.
Takeoffs are optional but landings are mandatory.

Way cool, all the goodies ya need and a cool retro body! Is that really a tone control? So it's wired flat out or is it actually the volume? And ya, the color is nice.

IMO you can never go wrong with orange. I also really like that shape, somewhere between a strat or jazz master. Where did you grab it from?

I've had an ash guitar for about 30 yrs now and have always been impressed by the tone an ash body produces. It might not be too common but it's definitely a great tone wood.

It is actually a volume control - I had them put a "tone" knob on it as a reference to EVH. One of the guys in the shop who wired and setup the guitar suggested dropping the actual tone control and just going with a single volume knob. I liked the idea and had him do that.

Ordered it through a Grosh dealer. Grosh Guitars doesn't do direct sales from what I understand.

So it was custom for you? I only ask because I checked their site and didnt see any guitars with floyds.
