  • What is this I took in for a trade

I painted a set of fairings for a guy back in June. He has never had the money to come get them. I needed them outta my garage and he said that he had a guitar that he could give me in Leiu of payment. Well I said fine I want this done with....

He brought me a mint ESP USA MX-3 in Chamelon paint. I see no info and have no idea what this thing is. It sounds great plays good but is in severe need of a set up.

Whats it worth? I did about a 400$ paint job for it. Is it a forgery? I cant find any info on this model anywhere. What are the pickups in it. The only thing I can ID is the Hot Rail in the middle position. The other 2 are hums

its HSH all duncans and an OFR. Says ESP Custom Guitars on the rear of the head stock and the front says ESP MX-3 USA

    Thanks!

            heh nice -
you got your 400 + a few hundy more for that in value for sure.

It's a true ESP and rare, i wouldn't sell it for less than 700 if it's in as good condition as it looks.

Why does it look like the ESP on the fretboard is on top of the strings? The strings even manage to change colour when they pass over the logo, amazing.
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

              I nearly broke her back

Any "true" ESP is worth at least $400. Good job.

I think you got your $400 out of the deal. Maybe double that, nice score.

I'd say you made out pretty well. HC has some info on that model:

Yeah, I'd say you did very well there...

Honestly I dont like how it feels. Its leavin for the bay so I can chase either a Stagemaster kramer or put it towards my CS Jackson Fund. I jure cant get into the neck on it
