  • Identifying Help?

Hello, I'm new here and I was looking to find out what kind of Jackson I actually have, or if it even is a Jackson. I asked someone at my local music store and they said this was the place to ask. The serial number is 9729914, I will post pictures as soon as I can. Thanks for any help you can give me.

pretty tough just goin on the serial. can you tell us what it looks like? headstock orientation? fretboard wood? inlay style? body style? configuration (pickups/bridge)?

welcome to the board; we'll get it sorted out for ya.

It has a reversed headstock, not sure of the wood but has piranha inlays. Heres a bad picture of it, girlfriend has the good camera so I had to take it with my phone. It pretty much looks like a DKMGT but has EMG-HZ pickups and a third knob that you pull up on it.

Yup, pre-2006, those came with EMG-HZs and a "Turbocharger" gain boost.
