But not all were scalloped the same. Mine (#232) is scalloped from the 13th fret to the top. Most weren't scalloped that soon. And there is an ever so slightly scallop effect on frets 1 through 12, extremely light.
Yeah, they were different in subtle ways. 25 1/2 inch scale, Carbuff. Mine has an original Floyd, not the JT-6. And a Kahler locking nut, but it's the style like a Floyd, not behind the nut. Weird. Speculation is that Grover was going to build some 12 strings (hence the 12 string cutaway at the 'butt') but nixed the idea, salvaged the bodies, and created the '88.
