MOAIP: It's time to get finished already...

I just did a search, and the last threads that show any activity are almost 3 years old now.

Nothing personal but whomever still has them, it's time to finish it, or hand it over to someone who has the time and dedication to get it done. There is no excuse for it taking this long.

Tekky's got it last I heard. I offered to finish it up for him back when he and Mrs Tekky got married and they were getting busy with the whole marriage thang, but I guess it's just one of those things no one else can be trusted with.

well, I'd have time at the moment and it'd be fun for sure, but somehow I feel like my BSE could get on peoples nerves after a couple of pages pretty easily and further, reading some of you guys, I feel like I know shit about guitars.

why not start a thread and we just do one guitar after the other, share pics and info and just put this whole stuff together in a thread without the nonesense in between.
I think this could be a lot of work for just one person otherwhise...

I'm guessing that the hugeness of this task is what is hindering its completion. It need to be divided into smaller parts, so you can reach the finish line more than once.

Did Tekky intend to put this into a real index database or what was the plan? Simple HTML?

Doesn't Jackson1's catalog scan page take care of most of the models?(Thanks to Henrik BTW) How long did it take to create the guitar generator here? I think that would be much harder to do than a list of models made over the years.

I'm not sure if Todd intends to do anything with it to be honest. He doesn't come to the JCF much if ever anymore because he tends to get dragged into battles with certain members. I'm not mentioning names to avoid a shitstorm. It has made him feel as though he isn't welcome here and he has told me as such. We still keep in touch and he's just moved on with his life.

Didnt fender make you guys take it down when they took over. Isnt a lot of that info copywrited by or even owned by fender? I seem to remember something like that.

I remember back when Mayday (i think) told a guy from Fender (right after the take over), that the info the guy claimed was Fender property, was indeed info and pics coming from no other that the JCF. First he got pissy and then he gave an enormous apology.
