I have two of them. I love them. Only complaint was that I wish the neck wasn't so glossy.

Thanks guys I did try a search but never have any luck with this search engine. I like oiled or unfinished necks so the glossy thing kills my interest

Yea its the charvel specially formulated oil finish. For what they are I think they were way overpriced. Thats just me. Gorgeous guitars though.

I have one and love it. Not sure where the glossy neck came from.
Grossly overpriced to begin with. I think Charvel wanted to establish a price point and make it the stepping tone for future CS Charvels.

I think it is funny how the hard core guys will rip them and demean them ...they do the same thing to the San Dimas series and those were awesome guitars with great necks ..

I have two, and absolutely love them. I still say that most people who bash them have never played one, let alone owned one.

OR

They expected to do 5 step bombs with the Vintage Trem....

I don't think it's jealousy ..I do think the fans of the original guitars are very protective of what they label as mojo. I have several old SD's and a bunch of new ones and I'm as happy with my newer ones as I am with my classics ..
