upgrading to OFR

what are the pros and cons of swapping out the JT580 on a MG series for an OFR? i've re-wired and fitted pickups but i'm scared shitless of drilling holes and setting up tremolos. i want to do this because the trem bar on my WRMG wobbles and loses hold after minor use.
