Model FAQ?

Alright, since there's so damn many questions about the Model guitars, why not compile an FAQ? Models, years produced, general info on each model. If there's enough of a call for it, I can start compiling info. When we finally run out of those, we can start in on all the Fusions and toothpaste logo Charvels... and on and on and on...

I think somebody here said he had a Mother of all info copy on his hard disk. It could save a lot of work...

Or.. if some kind soul has a fast server we could put the files on it and let everyone DL a copy.

Now I'm confused about "permission" thing.

If we used our own photo's, IE none of the "offical" photos from Jackson, why would there be a permission issue.

I mean, maybe I can't use a pic from Ford's brochure to show off my car, but if I take my own.. they can't sue me.

yes, we DO have the moaip on a disk...but yes, we DO in fact have to make changes to it, so that it's on the up and up, so to speak. it WILL take a while, but it WILL happen...

heh, and hopefully those calendars too...right rudy?

well, since the original moaip is now fender property, we have to redo it from a design/html standpoint. we'll discuss it, but i think what i'd like to do is divide this up into pieces, and maybe delegate some of this out. thanks for the offers guys: be careful of what you ask for! I wasn't aware the MoaIP still existed anywhere. Hell dude, I'm up for a rebuild if anyone else is. It would probably be best to start with the most question mark inducing stuff first (Model series, Fusions) since there's so many questions about those, and I think there's an example of every one of them on the forum.

if you were to rebuild the mother of all pages, would you rebuild it completely? does that mean take new pic's of all the guitars? that would be quite a job.....

I'd suggest not trying to redo the whole thing, just what is most looked for. The Models, the Fusions, all those 550/450XL things, and so on. I know all of the Models are represented on the board (by one guy!), so new pics of those are easy. I don't know. We'll figure something out so it's relatively easy.
