It was the WACF cover shot that made me first want an Explorer.

I always thought Eddie's hacked-up Destroyer was the inspiration for the Charvel Star, though I never heard/read anything about it. The shapes are very similar. Any comments?

yeah it is. Apparently ed had a explorer copy that he wanted wayne charvel to refinish black but wayne told him it was going to take a long time because he was busy. So ed got impatient and hacked it up. Wayne really like the shape and designed one of his own and named it the "star" after ed. And the rest is history.

Ha ha, just kidding bro. I think it's a wicked (if slightly wacky) design. What colour is the body gonna be? and can I get a close-up of the "Trogdor"?
