Sheesh...OK, thanks guys.

I cannot think of one Fear Factory tune, which is much less of a statment of their popularity or role in the music scene today, and much more a statement of how 'retired' I am.

I used to be metal, boys and girls. Back when you guys were falling off your tricycles or wiping your popo all over mommy's wall, I had hair to my ass and was banging hardcore in the Anthrax, Metal Church, Overkill vein. I was the shit. I used to get stopped for autographs in the grocery store.

Now I'm just an old retired geezer sittin in the corner sqwaking about the old days.

Never mind...move along...nothin to see here, folks...

What Chuck said!
Actually, i think i might be a Swedish version of Chuck.
I was also into Metal Church, Overkill, and Anthrax, and i were present at the Metallica "Master of puppets tour" when Anthrax were the opening act back in 86. (The last concert Cliff Burton ever made R.I.P)
I know i saw Fear Factory in Stockholm once as an opening act, but i can´t remeber for wich band...
Guess it must have been around 92-93.

Wow... I would buy one of those for sure!!!!

Love the rev headstock, no inlay ebony, and I could use a 7-string at an import price... that thing is just way cool!

Re: Christian Olde Wolbers sig model

You know what, I really don't care who Christian is.
I actually dislike FF's music.
I had several CDs of FF in 90's and didn't like them at all.

What I care about is the guitar that looks fukking cool and something that I was hoping to have for a pretty long time.

Think Dino was the guitarist for FF for many years and he didn't even get to have his own signature guitars from Ibanez when He was one of the guys who was using 7string guitars that made it popular besides Vai.
I thought his Ibanez guitar looked very cool too and wished Ibanez to release one of them but didn't happen.
It is strange to see Christian's signature guitar as he recently became the guitarist of FF after Dino left.

The bottomline is the guitar looks great and hope it plays great too.
Since I saw them early last year,I wanted one badly.
That is all I care.

I couldn´t care less for Fear Factory, but I remember Dino from a pic in an Ibanez catalogue...I guess from the mid ´90s.

Nothing wrong with bolt-on, nothing wrong with red. I can't figure out the "Olde", though - are there that many Christian Wolbers in the music biz that he's gotta throw that middle name out there to stand out? Kinda like Yngwie "J" Malmsteen?

FF used to so the soundtracks to the Destruction Derby PlayStation games, as well as a few other racing games. Not too bad IMO - great for driving and smashing cars around

Did Dino play ESP?
Dino was in many Ibanez ADs including 7string guitar and Toneblaster amp.
I think you are mixed up with the guy with Deftone who has his signature models both 6string and 7string by ESP/LTD.
He isn't fat as Dino though.

Here is a pic of Dino holdin his custom made Ibanez.
Black RG body(soloist/dinky looking),1 EMG, Reverse Headstock, no inlays but FF logo on the 12th fret.
Christian's Signature guitar is a variation of Dino's 7string guitars IMO.

I actually love the new FF album with Christian on guitar! It's actually the best thing they have put out in a while, the last two with Dio were pretty sad.

Christian's a better rhythm playing in my opinion and that's pretty impressive considering FF is all abotu rhythm.

It's a bit surprizing that this is the signature model though. When I saw them last he played that guitar for about 4 songs and played the rest of the show with a 7 string RR. I'mj still into it though, just wished he had stayed with the Duncans he used on the albums instead of going to EMG.
