  • are all saddles interreplaceable?

    Hey all,

I have a JS32 CD Concorde and I need to replace the saddle assembly (6 of them).
    https://www.guitarcenter.com/Jackson...tric-Guitar.gc

What I don't know is, are all of the saddle assemblys equal? I mean, I think my floyd rose os a licensed, but will original OFR 1000 saddle assemblys work in place of it?

If I got these would it be ok?
    https://floydrose.com/products/1000-...32531410059373

how can I figure this out?

    thanks

the ones you linked are for the floyd rose pro. those will almost definitely NOT work.

what would more likely work is the "non-pro" saddles from the OFR or 1000 series (note: the saddles in the following two links are interchangeable. the OFR ones are just made in germany instead of korea)

if you measure the existing saddles (width, length, height) it should be simple to confirm if they adhere to the OFR dimensions

Off topic sligthly FLoyd rose just announced this a few days ago:

Now how expensive these new saddles will be who knows.

ALso i would like to mention that i am pretty sure the schaller lockmeister saddles should be straight swap:

I measured my own and looked for something similar across the net, but couldnt' find any specific measurements according to the heigh, length and height of the saddle assembly. I called FR today and they told me the techs were really busy today but they'll get back to me. I'll post here once I get an answer...

tell me which measurements you have and I'll check them against one of my spare OFR saddles

I'd go with the cheaper 1000's they put them on all pro and usa models now.
I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

which saddle is this? (E, A, D, G, B or e) there should be a number or set of dots on the bottom of the saddle.

my measurements (for an E or #1 saddle): width - 10.42 mm (I think nominal is 10.6 mm), length - 32 mm, height - 9.5 mm. so looks pretty close to yours, I'd say they're probably interchangeable.

it has a 3 on the underside. When I got home from work today, I asked my wife, "did Floyd call me!!!????" even my daughter at 5 knew who Floyd Rose was
i've uploaded some pics, hopefully I did it right. Looks like it's not working
