Guitar stand

Hello! By the way, nice forum!

I have bought an jackson king v and I'm looking for a guitar stand. I don't want a stand thats to unsteady. Don't want the guitar to fall off.

Do you have any good tips on this?

The best guitar stands for large guitars like the King V would be the Ultra, Genesis, and similar stands. They hold the guitar up from the neck/headstock joint thus allowing for much higher positioning of the instrument. On normal stands the points of the V would be hitting the floor.

I use the Genesis 100 myself, I also use those stands for all my guitars (Strats, Vs and Kelly shapes). They are around $25, but worth it in my opinion.

If you have a Guitar Center near you they have them. That's all I've ever bought from the one near me. You can also go some online places if none of the local places carry them.

This guy is one of my fellow swedish JCFers, so he can´t buy from GC.

Jag vet ju att du har problem med att handla lokalt, så varför inte pröva www.jam.se? Gå in på övriga gitarr- och basprylar och bläddra neråt. Ungefär halvvägs ner på sidan hittar du Genesis GS-100 för 350 spänn. Jag har själv handlat av Jam och det funkade bra.

Ok, tack för tippset. Håller på att få dåra. Ingen har ju sånt ställ jag vill ha. Har kollat på GS-100 det verkade bra. Men jag hittade oxå ett som heter GS-200. Skillnaden är att stödet har 2st extra "pluttar" som ska göra så att gitarren inte åkter från sida till sida typ. Vad tror du om det? Jag ska kolla in jam oxå..

Ja, jag har använt GS100 i några år utan problem...men kanske GS200 vore ännu bättre för ett V. Jag har ju bara mer strataliknande modeller, så jag kan inte säga så mycket...men jag tror nog att du blir nöjd med bägge sorter. Vi får väl prata mer om det på ICQ.
