  • Value of Charvel 2

Hello sorry if this is posted in the wrong place but I am new to this forum. I have recently purchased a Jackson Charvel 2 at a garage sale for an unbelievable price. I have been searching the internet trying to determine what it may be worth. I have seen prices from about $250 all the way up to $1000. I am confused as to what a "average" or "reasonable" value would be. The guitar is in good shape with just a few minor chips and scratches. Thanks for you time.

I have bought many real nice ones for $300 to $400, some not so nice ones for less then $200. I would not ever pay more then $500 if it was new old stock.

$300 would be a reasonable price if in great shape, maybe a bit more with a case.

I agree with the above price ranges for the Charvel Model 1, Model 2, Model 3, and Model 4 (and all the sub-variants these numbers entail).

I might be willing to pay a little more for the Charvel Model 5 and Model 6 (and their various sub-variants), which are basically the first Japanese Soloists.

Welcome to the forum! Are you willing to divulge the price of your Model 2? Always happy when others get a great deal on these killer guitars.

Would love to see photos of your guitar. I recommend https://imgur.com/ to host your photos, though there are plenty of other free image hosting websites available if you Google "free image host".

Thanks everybody a lot of good information here. I was guessing around the 200-300 dollar range and this kind of summed up what I was thinking. I actually purchased it at a garage sale for $10 and after removing all the stickers on it, cleaning it, polishing the hec out of it, and doing a complete setup with new strings it sounds incredible. I figured I hit a jackpot at that price but was just curious how big I had scored on it for sure lol. I am still overwhelmed every time I look at it and think I got it for $10. Thanks for your time I really do appreciate it.

$10! STEAL OF THE CENTURY! Can't even buy a pack of D'Addario NYXL strings in Canada for that.
