help identifying model

I recently bought a soloist from a guy hard up for cash. It is a neck through design, has shark fin inlays, has a licensed Floyd rose (Jackson) only says Jackson on headstock (6 in line tuning keys), but the kicker that has me stumped is that it has a 6 digit serial number 010641. There are no prefix letters. I cannot find any info on 6 digit serial numbers with neck through construction.
Can anyone tell me what I bought? I paid $150 and it is mint shape with 1 small knick in paint by the jack including case.

24 frets? Matching coloured headstock? Could be a 2001 SL3. They dropped the 'J' prefix on neck thrus in the '90s.

Man, that's a smoking deal ! That's a Japanese model. With case, probably worth about $350-400.

In most North American used markets you can pick up those Japanese Pro series neck thrus in the $500-600 range oftentimes with a hard case. They were a $9-1100 (ballpark street price) or so guitar when new. MSRP was way over $1000. Bolt on pro series can be had today in the $300 range.

With the huge amount of great used guitar deals out there today, it's not uncommon to pick one up for less from someone who needs cash. There's tons of guitars sitting out there not selling simply because there are sooo many in my opinion.

Wow, an SL3 with case for only $150 (assuming US Dollars) is an absolutely killer deal. Neckthru Japanese guitar for so little cash. My ballpark for killer deals here in Canada is about CAD$300 (~USD$224) for Japanese bolt-on Charvels and Jacksons. Neckthrus I might be willing to pay more, and still be able to resell it for profit. I recently paid CAD$275 (USD$213) for an Indonesian 2016 SL3X and was able to resell it quickly for nearly double my investment: http://www.jcfonline.com/threads/150...n-SL3X-Soloist so a Japanese one would command more.

Yes, it's crazy some of the deals out there. If you're patient you could get an unbelievable deal today.

On the other hand, sellers have to near give 'em away if they want to see some cash.

The guitar center used site has pro mods for $399 as the bottom tick. I think people dump em around the holidays to raise cash or as a trade in to hit something on holiday sale. Happens every year. Deals to be had for sure
