EDIT: Sorry for the double post, I see my other first post went through in the Import section.
Hi, I'm new to the forum and Charvel/Jackson. I'm beginning the process of making a "Jack Butler" Crossrads project guitar. I came across a vintage neck with a maple board on EBAY. The logo was painted over. As I was wet sanding it down I revealed a charvel logo with TM on it. After doing a little research, I read that this must be a 1986 Japan model, and with a maple board that it is considered rare with the TM logo, also has Jackson TM tuners.
Was trying to post a link to some picture but maybe because it's my first thread it would take links so it didn't post.
My plan was to either leave it black like Jack Butler in the movie, or label it with vintage Jackson logo for the project.
My question is, are these necks that rare and a keeper to have the TM logo?
If its that rare and worth keeping it, I can clear back over it and salvage the semi scratched logo.
