  • Charvel CHS 2?

Anybody know anything about this axe? Unable to find much except it was made in Korea in the mid to late 90s. Can not believe Charvel would put their name on a poor quality guitar but I picked up one for $40 at a swap meet. Sounds good, not great by any means, Humbucker is wimpy but seems well built.

Take a look at this site: http://charvelusa.com/charvel_models...1996_1997.html

You'll see the CHS2 and its specifications listed there.

Have you played one? If so what do you think of this model? From what you know what do you think of the Korean made Charvels?

I haven't played one, sorry. I hadn't heard of this model until you posted this topic and got me digging around on that CharvelUSA.com site.

As long as the guitar seems solid, plays decently, and sounds OK, for $40 I think you did well! I can't even find Squier Strats or other low end brand name guitars at that price here!

I have one that I purchased new as my first guitar. I still have it. It plays nice. I replaced the stock pickups with some Duncans and now it sounds real nice too.
Mine has a sweet figured neck.
