Here's the back story: Somebody owes me (a bit of) money and wants to paypal me. I don't have paypal, so I wanted to have the guy paypal it to the JCF. I figured a public thread in which the addy is posted might also drive some other donations. I assume it costs money to run this place?

Then leave a message for Jeremy. It's his forum and, as far as I know, only he gets the money. Why there isn't a regular donation system besides Platinum, I have no idea.
