  • Which Jackson?

Dudes, I’m looking for another Jackson. This is going to be a 3-4th string guitar. It will be used exclusively for
some drop tuning my band is doing. I don’t want it to have a floyd. I would prefer string through body set up.

I don’t want to spend a fortune but I also don’t want it to be junk. I need this guitar very soon.

What model would you guys get? And approximately how much should I be spending?

I have an RR3 which is basically my 2/3rd guitar….I don’t think I want another RR right now…

any advice would be cool guys....

    thanks dudes

didnt they make a baritone string thru import a few years back?...the extra scale would allow for better tension in dropped tunings...d.m.

Fair question - maybe 300-500...300 would be better becasue I'm also buying a new amp....
          but I know I don't get much for 300....

I'd just hit Guitar Center. That price range is what a lot of their Jacksons are in anyway. We can belt suggestions all day long, but it comes down to what feels good to you.

the baritone was called a dk 27 (27" scale)...hard to find it seems...string thru, humbuckers...when it can be found it runs between 300-350...d.m.

Should be able to find one of these for around that.. DK2T (HSS) or a DKMGT (HH, archtop, Pirannha tooth inlays) or a DXMGT (HH Sharkies, newer ones have smurf hat/harpoon HS).
