What gives Jackson Guitars that trademark throaty sound?

I love me some mids, especially when I'm playing with others. It's nice to be heard in the mix.

What gives Jackson it's original sound? That crappy JB they ship in most of their guitars that half the people who buy toss out for something different, making the guitar sound different. The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.

Glad peeps made it into the mix.
Not sure why though.
I remember when I first joined there was a bunch of dumping on
one member who (I suppose the mods did it) had testicles for a chin!
Build quality overall must be a big factor.
Even the bolt ons have a pronounced tone over other similar guitars.
Fit and finish.
Kramer is there, Ibanez never cut it for me, nor did ESP.
I've swapped all sorts of different pickups in my Charvels and Jacksons and the tone is still there,
of course a little different depending on what I'm going for.
It's like a solid midrange sound, and without that hollow woody tone that is OK for
some styles, but not for high gain.
Throaty, IDK...but they give a better clean tone than one would expect from a "shredder" guitar overall.

I've got a better one now...
What makes Jackson sound so unique?
The Fender laborers working at the Fender plant working on Fender machinery using wood from Fender's lumber pile eating at the Fender Cafe for lunch in the Fender break room and cashing their Fender paycheck.
That's what makes Jackson sound so unique. The 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.

I think they dip the body and the neck in a big steaming vat of awesome and let cure for a week. (1 to 2 years for custom shop models) with multiple dunkings to ensure maximum Blues Rock Chatter absorbtion. Just add JB and Jazz and viola! That throaty moan...no wait that's your mom...but the guitars do have a particular sound to me. It must be the awesome!"Rule number one: In my van, it's Rush. All Rush, all the time. No exceptions. Rule number two: Nobody touch the red button. And I mean never touch the red button. Most importantly, rule number three: There's no jerking it in my van!"
