  • This outta be fun to fight with Fed Ex

I was emailed me this great news today...

This was packed in a hard case wrapped in 4" of bubble wrap and suspended in peanuts another 2 inches around.

The was also padded 5" of bubbles on either end of the case.

This is a crush. They but enough weight on it to crush the bubbles the internal case structure and break the neck and crush a metal tuning key.

300+ guitars shipped over about 10 years time.... first ever broken.

Im sure the insurance claim will be fun but its clearly a crush theres no impact marks anywhere on the headstock....I cannot fathom the weight that was placed on it as I know I can jump on my packages and not break anything (I have tested to perfect my packing)

My heart broke as soon as I saw the picture... Horrendous.

Odd question: Was it still in tune? I remember watching a video of Dime playing his Dean, he smacked the headstock and it snapped right off, and it was still in tune with the headstock dangling by the strings.

Is that even possible with a free floating trem? Once three strings go the others should be out of tune awefully.
            Unless it was blocked.

Oh yes, considering I have three of these things hanging next to me, I should have thought about that.
Having one of these days again I guess...
