  • Does anyone have any crackle V's?

I have a picture of a Jackson King V and I've seen a ton of Kerry's ESP's, but does anyone here have any crackled v's?

Here's the video that got me GASing:

Joel has a red crackle KV. I've seen at least one yellow crackle RR. But there aren't a ton of crackle Jackson Vs out there..
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Oh man I look at that at least once a night before I go to bed
And that RR sounds sweet, do you have any pics off hand?

Yes sir. The headstock looks era correct, and he is/was a B.C. Rich user around then.

Will Jackson still create a crackle finish? I vaguely remember a thread about it being a toxic process or something??!!??

Might need to try this in the special run section - RR with crackle finish.

Yes, I have something like this in mind as well.
IIRC it was a chemical process which is not allowed anymore due to ecological reasons.
They still do crackles, but these are airbrused now AFAIK and will look somehow different.

Interesting, i wonder what about the process made it toxic or hazardous. You could always just get a KV and give it with a crackle refin yourself if you're confident enough, there's plenty of how-to videos on Youtube.
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

like you..no king-V...and nowhere near close to a RR, but I love the multicolored finishes
