I'd replace the wimpy philips deck screws with the beefier square drive ones. That thing will sustain for days!!

    Agreed. Definitely a J/C body.
Looks like someone hit the neck heel with a hack saw and a bench grinder in an "attempt" at making it an AANJ.
Then ran a torch around the edges for that sun-"burnt" look.
The deck screws are a nice touch.

Part it out on eBay. I'm gonna take a wild guess here:

    EMG 89 + 81: $90-120
    Neck: $70
    JT-6: $50
    Hardware: $30

Damn, so its not even a charvel body? Are you sure? Where would be the best place to sell the parts? Or, Do you think if I put the guitar on ebay people would be interested? Would it bring anywhere near the usual $300 that charvels tend to bring on ebay?
Thanks for all the quick responses!

Nice tobacco burst. With a crunch.

I agree with tcwil8. Part it out. If you could get AlienXNation to sell the parts, you'll have enough for a Jackson Custom Shop. Seriously, the EMG's and the JT-6 tremolo and the neck ought to bring some money.
Maybe the body is in fact an original, but butchered Jackson or Charvel.

    I hope they're galvanized.

To the OP, best opportunity to reclaim your investment is to part it out and sell each piece IMO.

The hole in the neck is the original hole that the screw went into in the original body. What you have here is a Charvel neck and a who knows what body or a body someone has butchered for better access to the upper frets.

Need help identifying Jackson Charvel With Pics

Hello, I have a jackson charvel that I picked up pretty cheap at an auction. I am interested in selling it. But first I wanted to find out some information which brought me here. I looked it up and down for a serial number and was unable to find one. Hoping to identify year and model of this guitar. THANKS! in advance. Here are the pictures:

Lastly I am wondernig what this small hole in the back of the neck is? It's pictured below and I just haven't seen enough guitars to know.

    Thanks again!
