It's not. And this is a hate thread. We get it, they screwed up. But they've also blown minds. This rant has gone on far longer than necessary and it's boiled down to "AAAHHH! THEY SCREWED UP!". The whole purpose of the thread was to warn people against the "terrible" Jackson custom shop. Which is wrong. They screwed your order up, so you can negotiate in peace not come back to the boards and bitch and moan about it like a high school girl spreading a rumour. Joining in this collective hate of the custom shop is what's ridiculous, especially if you don't have experience with the CS. This isn't nearly as severe as the NAMM seven string that was nearly unplayable, but apparently is still tragic. Ridiculous, and should stop. If you want to post and say, holy shit, this guitar is awesome check it out, that's a harmless, and while not entirely beneficial, valuable thread. This is a completely different matter. But to come on, post pics of a guitar that was screwed up, with the underlying notion being "Lets bash Jackson together because they fucked mine up" is pathetic. I don't agree with it. While I understand the rage, this thread is completely pointless. It serves no purpose other than a negative one.

I just get a kick out of how sharing ones personal experience with the Jackson CS where a guitar was incorrectly built is "ridiculous" and it's "bashing" and "serves no purpose" while the customer is made out to be too picky, a whiner, not a player, and playing the victim.

Yet, if someone share an experience that ended with a guitar being built correctly then it's perfectly okay.

Pretty silly.

And of course for most people it's going to be one end of the spectrum or the other. If you order your "dream guitar" and they get it 100% correct of course it's going to BLOW YOUR F**KING MIND!!!. Just like if they get it wrong it's going to suck the wind right out of your sails. Some people are content with taking their dream guitar "as is" at a discount. More power to you. For others, every single time they look at the thing they will only be reminded of what wasn't done correctly. "If only this was like this..."

I love Jackson guitars and I recommend them to everyone I know that plays. But I also share my experiences dealing with the Custom shop since 1992 with them as well. I have ordered 7 CS guitars from Jackson in that time frame and only 2 of them were built correctly to spec without any errors. Mistakes can and will happen, but they should be the exception and not the norm. Unfortunately for some people like myself and AK47, getting it done right the first time is the exception and it's very frustrating.

Ah, I've had both good and bad experiences with Jackson and Charvel and I don't blame him.

Maybe Jackson will actually get it right and "blow his mind" this time, which would be all he expected and paid for in the first place.
