SD Tele Goldtop...thanks to Newc and Nick

After seeing everyone here enjoying their new USA Charvels, I decided to pull the trigger myself and just ordered (bought on eBay) from Nick at Piney Hills. Thanks to Newc for steering me to Nick, and for the LiveSearch discount (how do they do that?!). Looking forward to the Charvel Tele Goldtop, it will be my first brand new Charvel since I got my 475 Special back in '91!

Just came in today! Killer. No probs with the trem, set up was great. Weird thing is that the hang tag shows a Fender serial number that is not the same as on the neck plate. Nick mentioned that's how they cataloged them. For comparison, 2 other gold tops:

OK, got it in today, killer. Great set up, the Floyd is fine, plays and sounds wonderful. Weird thing is that the serial number on the plate doesn't match the serial on the hang tag. Nick mentioned that the serial on the tag is logged as a Fender serial, and for the Charvel "buffs" the neck plate is it. Who cares, it rocks. How does the Tele's color match up with the Les Paul in person? They look very close in the pics.

Thanks, the Les Paul doesn't have much glitter or "specks" in the paint, it's not as metallic. Otherwise, it's virtually the same, although those 2 guitars are 34 years apart in age!

Actually that's a Dinky, not a Soloist. And when I tried to post the first time I got a weird "Your post must be scanned over by admins before submission" so I tried again, oh well...
