  • EXACT Color Code for Ferrari Red?

I have always wanted to know the exact code for the new SD Ferrari Red.

I had two of these fine axes in that color and some day, I'd like a guitar finished in that.

Anyone know how I can get the exact code?

    Thank you

    Jay

I'll see if I can get the actual color tomorrow, I sell paint so i'll try to match the variant.

The primer plays a small part in getting the correct ferrari red color, you want it to be bright white.

The Ferrari code does not match the color, but here's the formula for Ferrari Red in Dupont Chromabase it's a pint formula.

          Toner # Amount Cumulative

          850J 152.8
          886J 178.4
          866J 203.9
          801J 207.8
          150K 424.8
          175K 442.3

I would reccomend using a white sealer because reds are quite transparent and it will give you more of a bright red appearance.

I hope this helps. I've sent an email to charvel requesting the stock code for the Ferrari red they use. If they respond i'll post it.

I would bet it will be a PPG code if you can get it.
