    All of the bolted steel guitars I've seen have been from the very early 90's.

    The serial # on the Rhoads, U00299, puts it as an early USA production guitar built in 1990. It has seen a lot more playing time than the Charvel though. The frets are worn down to nothing on it.

        What an awesome score! I like both finishes, actually. And get the fretwork done on the RR - it'll be worth it to have that one in playing shape again.

                  People are finding that the 80s stuff is better than the others..

                  Prices are just plain stupid here...good for importers though

                          After I saw this thread when it was originally posted, I've made it a point to hit pawn shops at least once a week. So far the best guitar I've seen was an esp ltd....
