It's interesting to hear how much Jake's tone changed between Ozzy and Badlands. The guitar remains the same, I think, but the sound is a lot different. Thanks for the links.

I love Badlands and the whole 70s riff-rock quality their material had - with a seriously beefed up guitar tone!

I also much preferred the more natural tone Jake had during that period - if memory serves me he was using a 100w Plexi Marshall boosted with a Boss Super Overdrive as the core of his sound (you see his very basic pedal setup during the Devil's Stomp clip).
