Plus he got some of it wrong. The guitar wasn't Ferrari Red - it was a Candy Red Sparkle. Also, it was Jackson-logo'd on the headstock with a Charvel neck plate, consistent with the last "Charvels" produced in '86.

The rest of the story - replacing the neck with a strathead, giving it to the Hard Rock? ...Never heard this before.

Hey, I'm all about it- that's a semi famous Charvel and the newbie had some info. Not like it was a, "WOW THAT IS A NICE GUITAR" post. There was value there.

Lots of pics & info on that guitar >>here<< , including a pic of it in the Hard Rock. You can see the sparkle in the paint pretty well in some shots.

Funny how if somebody bumps an old thread they catch a ration of shit for it, but if they post a new thread on something that's been discussed a few times, they catch a ration of shit for not "using the search function", usually by the same people.

Cool forum, I see some familiar names over there. Is that relatively new forum?

Yeah, the more I think about it and saw the pics it is there in Biloxi. It is on the 2nd level off the main lobby up the stairs. Unless of course they move these things around every year or so.
