Has Charvel logo on headstock, with "made in USA" . Please inform . I need to know if this is just another late model throw away, or something good. What might it be worth on eBay? It's in great shape.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">So you say you didn't realize it was lefty?!? But yet you observed it had the Made in USA on a pointyhead that was logoed with Charvel, and you saw the serial number on the plate. But you didn't realize the body, headstock, logo were all opposite of what a right-handed guitar would be?!? And then you ask how much would it be worth on ebay?
PUUULLLLLEEEEEEEZZZZZEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Like another poster said, you're nothing but guitar pimp: you see a guitar you're not interested in, figure you can make a big profit off it and try to sell it here! You're right-handed, what do you want with a left-handed guitar you can't play? Or are you a martyr saving all the lonely Charvels in pawn shops to sell to all the fans here? If that is the case, then please divulge how much YOU paid for the guitar and then sell same here for our left-handed players without making a profit or very little profit. If you paid, let's say, $100 for the guitar, then you could easily make 100% profit on it by selling for $200. Is that what you're willing to do, Mr. Martyr?!?

There's so much contradiction in your posts, it's ridiculous. You have nothing to offer this board. I checked your profile and saw how many posts you had... you have 10 (from this post and the other post about this guitar you bought and are so quickly selling). You've posted nothing else about guitars or any other equipment, tips, etc. in any other place on this board. You clearly came here to make a buck.
If you were smart, you would have said you had this SD pointyhead Charvel that you're lookiing to sell, would anyone here be interested. And, BTW, all for sale items should go in The Classified section of this board! Like I said before, thanks for trolling by, Mr. Pimp.

Have a nice day!

Re: Pointy Head #5074 (what do I have?)

Dr. Mr angry selfrighteous,
Yes indeed, I actually picked up the guitar the first day, and simply held it upright, while looking at the serial number and a few details. Being as I'm not a big guitarist, I actually didn't notice it's lefty until a few days later when I went back. I'm actually a keyboardist first, guitarist second, which is partially why I didn't realize it at first. So on and so on. Why am I even explaining things to YOU?? I have no clue, except for the fact that I DESPISE when IDIOTS like you jump to judgement, simply because they are full of hate. You are simply a hateful bastard and you haven't a clue.
Nor do you have a clue with respect to what's called LIFE. What if I actually did buy this guitar to make money. Oh my God!! NOOO! I can't believe anybody in their right mind would ever buy something low and sell high. Gosh, almost seems like capitalism to me. If you prefer socialism or communism, then feel free to move to China or Russia. We sure don't need you here.

I actually do love Charvels and hope to buy another strathead for myself when I find one cheap. Go back and read my posts in chronological order, and you just might see things clearly. And yes, I did ask what it would bring on ebay, just incase I DID want to sell it. Big deal. I expected a little more class from this group, which I was posting on about a year ago when I had my strathead pre pro.(thus far, only you have shown what a frikin' pissy ass jerk you are)

PS-I got it for $120

Come on dude.. you sitting here, telling us that you couldn't tell it was left handed with you picked it up?

I've come to one conclusion, you're either REALLY stupid, or you're a troll.

I'm in Nashville - at which Pawn Shop did you find this? I'd like to know how I missed it...

Dear morons,
As you know, I did give some specs on the guitar after my first 1 minute visit with it in the pawn shop. Now think about it, if I knew it was a lefty, don't you think I woulda SAID SO, being as that is only like a HUGE spec???
I'm sure it seems silly that I didn't notice at first, but just maybe I wasn't focused on the whole thing at the time. I'm a very busy man.
You guys really should grow up. You might like it.
IF one of you could buy a classic '57 Chevy for like $500, but you didn't need it really, would you not buy it anyway, clean it up, then sell it for proffit???? (lotsa proffit) Duh. IF you wouldn't, then you would be insane.
I'm done with this silliness now. You all can have your little hate gang, and you can all just have a blast trying to tear me down, so as to build up yourselves(in your mind). You guys are on a feeding frenzy and no amount of logic will help your sick little minds.
Sincerely,
Guitar Pimp

Dude, you must seriously have mental problems to not notice that a guitar is BACKWARDS when you pick it up.

sheesh..

No mental problems here. YOu just fail to recognize the situation. Just as I failed to recognize it was a lefty. Maybe I'm dislexic. Maybe I'm just a busy person who's life does not revolve around a guitar. No big deal. Big woopie. Who cares? Not me. If I didn't notice, I didn't notice. Geez, I wonder if YOU have ever missed something in YOUR lifetime?
OK children, let the feeding frenzy continue! Here I am, bash away, bash away, bash away all!!! I'm open game. I hope you feel really important after this. Wooopie!

Hi Shane,

I was just reviewing your account and I've noticed that all your posts on the forum were regarding this guitar.

When you came into the forum you asked advice of our members to asess the value of the guitar in question. You stated that you could pick it up for a little over a hundred bucks and that you've bought pawnshop stratheads in the past for minimum investment and sold at high profit margin. Unfortunately that makes it appear the same in the case of this lefthanded charvel you are now talking about. Is it possible that the members here may feel as though they were asked advice so you could in turn take their advice and make a profit from them? That may be why they are so upset with you.

With that said now let me direct you to your registration. In the rules that you should have read to agree to you registration, coming into the JCF purely to make a profit is restricted as we have paid dealership advertisement. While I'm not sure that was your intial intent it does look suspect considering your only posting in regards to the purchase and sale of this guitar.. If I'm wrong then please accept my apologies and I look forward to seeing you in other threads or even topics .. if the only concern is the sale of this guitar then please do not violate the rules any longer ........

Thank you
Kevin
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

Kevin,
Thanks for the civil manor in which you've communicated with me. This is all I ask of others, and the same is always returned.
Here's the deal. I'm a Charvel lover, and I became one last year when I found a killer maple top strathead pre pro at a pawnshop, and got it for $225. I bought it for one reason only---I LOVED IT. At this time, I had no idea there was such a big buzz about Charvels, until I got online to start looking into and bragging about my new treasure. Come to find out it was worth some money. I ended up selling it on ebay, ONLY so I could get my dream guitar for $1,500 off ebay, a Tom Anderson drop top. This I did.
Now, a year later I still love Charvels, and want to find one for myself again, as I terribly miss the strathead I had. I've been around, viewing the Charvel board here and there, but did not post anything, since I didn't own a Charvel any longer. I didn't have much to ask or say. I'm a VERY busy man, who runs 2 businesses, one being a recording studio in Nashville. I simply haven't had time to get involved here at the forum, since I was kinda out of the loop, not really owning a Charvel anymore.
Being as I found this pointy Charvel in a pawn shop, of course I started asking questions back here at the forum. I can see how it would appear that I was purely here to make money from these guys, but to be precise, I asked how much it would bring on ebay, not how much would you guys sell your soul to have it.
I apologize for making anyone feel used or anything like that. I can totally see how it looks that way.
I'll be sure to re-read the rules section too, just to be safe. Thanks again for the civility.
Shane

Re: Pointy Head #5074 (what do I have?)

Just for the record. I've been looking into this, and reading my posts and reflecting on what my own intentions actually were a week ago, because I don't even remember now, after all this dispute.
A few have accused me of trying to sell this guitar, or even "pawn in off" to someone here. Actually the record shows that what I did was simply ask you guys questions about the guitar, then ask what it's worth on ebay. I say again, on ebay, not to you. I didn't know if it was a real San Dimas, or just a reissue or even a fake. I never asked anyone here to make an offer or to send me $1,500 or anything.
I'm sure most of you will be happy to know I've been banned from Charvel Central, and I have no idea why. I had no disputes or even a conversation with anyone there. I think I"m being blackballed, and it's not right. This is all a huge misunderstanding. The administrator over there hasn't emailed me back yet to explain. Last night I put out a heads up in the "commercial" section that I'll be putting up the Charvel on ebay ASAP. Could I be banned for this? Someone throw me a bone here please.
