Got this one off eBay. July 1981 prepro. At first glance I thought this was the Thunderhead guitar from Rob Wittes site. It turns out it is a twin. Same date in the pocket, same color. Square jack plate. Note the strap buttons. I have the same on a few prepros and they are the same on Robs guitar.

The last 2 pics are my guitar next to Robs
Here is the link to Robs...

nice one kev! I owned the Kramer version of that in the 80's - I'd swear it was the exact same color. congrats!

I wondered what happened to that. It was listed as just a body. Did he have the neck also? Good score.

Hey Dave

You are correct. I considered putting the same floyd on it but I would miss the fine tuners. I have had a few wiyhout the fine tuners and they can be a chore.

This auction was just for the body. Kev built the guitar out of period correct parts he has. The wording here is a little misleading.

yup, ebay auction for the body...

I forgot to mention that the neck is of the same era and I have had it a while...

I posted the same info on CC and added a second post about the neck right after my first post. I neglected to do that here.

The body is in truely pristine condition for its age

Nice looking guitar. The color looks a little more vibrant in the outdoor pics. Is it just the difference in lighting or is it really a bright lavendar? Either way, it think it's cool.
