I found this bass up for sale in Japan on Yahoo Japan and anyone who is interested in, please check it out.

Very low serial #.
The condition seems good too.
The owner bought it in 80's.

I am not able to help you on getting this bass but if you have a contact in Japan who can help you, you should try.
The BIN is about $670-680 and you will need to pay the shipping.
Not sure if he will ship it internationally.
