I'm wondering what that actually means. That there were slightly visible marks from the frets being filed? That's actually a good thing... they stopped doing that to save labor costs. They used to meticulously file the fret ends and manually roll the fretboard edge, now they just cnc the rolled edges and then cut the frets a little shorter to save time and labor.
