What I've noticed about this one vs my new USA So Cal / San Dimas is that the neck on the 25th (in the pocket) straight in line w/ the body like a strat, whereas on the new ones the neck is angled back in the pocket? Am I seeing things? The 25th neck is not thick at all. I actually picked the guitar up because of the neck as I was trying out different things for feel on a Warmoth project. After playing it a couple of times I knew I couldn't bear for anyone else to own it

Guitars with non-recessed Floyds will have the neck tilted back more. If it's got a hardtail or vintage-type trem, the neck will be straight.

Ahhh, I knew something was up. I'm VERY new to the whole Floyd thing... Only took me 25 yrs to come around to it.

Fantastic guitars - only thing that has put me off one is the non-locking trem. How do you guys find the tuning stability? I've always had Charvels with Floyds, I did try one with a vintage trem but the tuning was all over the shop as soon as you touched it, which has kinda put me off these 25th Anniversary ones - although I do drool every time I see a picture of one.

I've only put the bar in mine once... it was a pretty bad experience I'm sure it could be improved w/ the right set up though.

Vintage tremolos are a real ball buster to keep in tune when doing whammy work. Some use graphite on the nut for smooth string movement. Other like me crank down the spring claw in the back and mainly use it as a hard tail. Best setup i have seen is locking tuners and a roller nut for whammy work with a vintage tremolo.

I just recently started using a trem so it's no great loss for me (plus I have the Floyd on the So Cal). I just use it as is like a strat...

Stunning guitar.......I've got #56 which I bought new. The neck is fantastic although I wish that it had a Floyd. I've locked the bridge down to stabilize the tuning.
                      Enjoy!!

What others said, my bridge is all the way down so its like a hard tail.
