Unfinished necks

I've taken the finish of my Peaveys neck by sanding it down. Strat with 80 and work your way up. It'll work. Then tru-oil it, and steel wool it, it's like night and day!

I don't doubt you can remove the finish from a neck back... His fingerboard is also finished maple. That's the problem. :dunno:

Unfinished necks are the way to go. So much smoother and faster. I've never taken the finish off a neck myself. I think I'd be afraid to try.

I use lemon oil for everything.......and I mean everything.


in the car engine, polishing my furniture, on my guitar neck, on my bicycle chain, for my swedish massage rub downs, and on my penus when having sex with nuns. it works great. I highly recommend it to anyone.
