Your story sounds better than mine, Toe. Hell, maybe I dreamed it.

But your story makes more sense.
I'm only kidding anyway, I think they're alright, despite their lack of credibility.

    He produced AC/DC
He was knocking the bottom out of Shania Twain
He produced her debut album which was very well produced.

Nickelback has great production value and great sound on their latest release. The guitar tone on that entire album is outstanding. So is the bass and drum sounds.
Nickelback has a ton of hit songss and they actually use real amps and guitars onstage.
    .
    Sounds pretty credible to me.

To me.. they are a watered down Creed (who I thought was a great band... especially the songs that weren't on the radio)
    I don't see the problem.

Whatever it was was $4.95...so...they got a nickle back. Who knows? Silver Side Up isn't bad, in my opinion. I did hear a thing (don't know what to call it) where they layered two of their hits. It was so close, it fit. Overdubbed? I don't know what it's called, but it definitely is cookie-cutter songwriting. But for the 17 of you guys on here that hate it, there are thousands that love it. That's the thing with music, there is something for everyone. Rap makes me wanna hurl.

Cantrell likes 'em enough to join 'em on stage a few years back.

I can't help but laugh everytime someone brings up record sales and success as a gauge of a bands worth. Did you forget the Backstreet Boys, NKOTB, Britney Spears, Ashley Simpson, N Sync, etc. etc. etc....

Any time a decent song actually gets into the top forty it's a fluke. The general CD buying public enjoy shit music, buy shit music, and go see shit concerts.

Nickelback does have great production. I can't deny that. They even have some catchy riffs. However, in the end they are shit. The singer has a shit voice. They write the same shit songs, with the same shit formula over and over again.

No... In fact I didn't even know Def Leppards new album was out until recently when I saw that video with Tim McGraw I haven't heard it yet, but they've already dissapointed me with the last two CDs, I'm not in a big hurry to be dissapointed again. I will listen, but I'm not going to break my neck to go out and buy it.

You being such an adult and all? Presumably you don't like anything other than death metal (and Nickelback)?
Did you notice the WE in my statement? I never said I was any different, in fact, if you read closely, I said later that I was NOT. Actually,I believe I said they had LOST their balls. If you're going to try to bust my chops, at least try to get it right. And, no, I'm not a death metal fan at all. And if Def Leppard have grown a set with this last record, good for them! It's about time! Maybe Joe Elliot finally stopped wasting time running his mouth and sparring with other hair band singers in the media and took time to actually do something.. That's great. But I will tell you that I bought the last two releases def leppard put out and it was bad, but I at least DID listen to them and not just what was on the radio (as if any of the chamber misic on X would have even made it that far) I liked Def Leppard in the 80s. High and Dry was one of my favorite albums, But I haven't liked anything they've done in awhile

My point was that two many people judge a band by what they hear on the radio.
