That'd be Chris 'lumpy' Hophschneider who was their tech and built guitars for them....

Of the top of my head Dave used:

    - Blue sparkle h/s custom LP mentioned above
    - Red / black crackle h/h custom LP special
    - Black h/h strat mutt
    - Custom Dreams 'kramer' with dragon graphic
    - Reverse headstock Hamer explorer
    - White h/s custom ESP Mirage (or MII or something)
    - Black ESP doubleneck
    - Ibanez Korina V

I remember seeing him (at least in a guitar mag) playing the Ernie Ball EVH guitar. I don't remember seeing any video of him using it though so it may have been handed to him as a prop. This was a while after Bach had been given the boot or quit or floated away on pixie wings or whatever the hell he did.

Love Skid Row, I should break out their cd's more often, after this thread think I will
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil

The doubleneck was played in a live Wasted Time footage.
                    I wish my hair-color was EDS :/

Doesn't anyone here listen to metal???
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
                        Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

I'm listening to Armored Saint right now, does that count?

actually, I used to be a big "metalhead." For a long time there was nothing better than cranking Pantera, Anthrax or Slayer for no real reason.

But I eventually mellowed down to Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden...the down to the hair metal guys...

                          Now? James Taylor! :ROTF:

I remember that he always mentioned his Ibanez Paul Stanley model Iceman in magazine interviews. There was also a pale blue HSS superstrat, with the two singles ripped out and duct tape on the headstock. I believe that may have been a USA Dinky.

I believe it was a Jackson, with the tape on the headstock and XXX written in marker, but wasn't that Scotti's guitar?
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

The green Custom Dreams snake guitar was my favorite. Custom Dreams was a small custom shop out of NJ that built Charvel style guitars...it's been rumored that the bodies and necks were sourced from Charvel (same routs and contours). At some point, Dave swapped the original neck (reverse pointy) for a Kramer (also reverse pointy).
