  • Jeff Loomis...

I know its no secret around here how good Jeff is but I thought I'd throw this up here. The sound quality kinda sucks, but damn that boy can play. One of the few shredders that I can listen to. Great vibrato, clean technique, melodic, and he plays some very off the wall things.

To me Jeff headed in the wrong direction after Dead Heart. His solos sound like a real good yet ordinary neo-classical shredder. He has amazing writing skills both riffwise and solowise. Although I still like the songs the solos in EOR and TGE don't do it for me

Was there while this was being filmed....

It was much better sounding live =) Was only using a PODXT Bean and a stompbox for his tone.

To see all those insane solos back to back is pretty badass.

Thanks for putting that up! I was a couple people behind this dude at the Schecter booth - my video isn't nearly this good!

AND one of the hot Schecter girls gave me a free t-shirt - not a bad 5 minutes of my life!

Sorry Steveo I usually agree with you but this playing, albeit a great player with great technique ...said absolutely nothing to me...left me feeling cold and not warm and fuzzy

I think the first video is one of his solo tunes. I do like his playing alot.
