  • R.I.P. Ben Marlin of Disgorge.

    Lost yet another one.
    From their myspace page:

After a year and a half battle in being diagnosed with cancer, Benjamin Lee Marlin quietly passed away on the morning of January 2, 2008. His final flight took off at about 4:40am and he should be touring the heavens by now. He is survived by his parents, grandparents, sisters, girlfriend Erin, best friend Ricardo, the Disgorge family, and his most amazing circle of friends any man could ever have. His joys were going outdoors with his buddies to the river/ lake/ desert, etc.... and his passion resided in playing the most extreme of all music, Death Metal. Truly a down to earth person, Benny seemed to take joy to the more simple things that we usually overlook in life. He did amazing things at his own expense for his bandmates that made music life easier, fun, and priceless. May he be remembered by all who had the honor to get to know him and the person his parents, family, and close friends made him to be, as well as those he had touched who only met him in passing and got to know him for his art. Even those who never met him that are touched by his achievements in Disgorge. Rest in Peace, Brother in Brutality......
