Thats simply not true. Tipton has always played the better solo's for Priest. He did back in the Rocka Rolla days all the way up to present. Live and in the studio. There is no recorded basis to your statement. Sure.. KK may very well be a better guitarist but unless you know something that I don't.. I have never heard him outplay Glen.

Hehe, i made my comment based on some more recent events. First of all i know that Glen does most of the guitar work for the band.
I saw a video clip where KK was jamming on some backing track and he played some of the msot melodic and testeful lines i had ever heard( a lot better than his other Pirest solos), and then about the same year they let out a dvd where Tipton could'nt handle his "Pain Killer" solo( out of tune bends and overall bad performance). I am not an old priest fan and i first heard painkiller( the song) when i saw the studio video, and i just loved Tiptons solo work there, so it was really a dissapointment when he made a fool of himself trying to play that live.

Dont get me wrong , i love tipton, and i even like his solo album "Batizm of fire" but KK just won me over with that jam( ill see maybe i can find that video).

Also KK has red Hamer Mini V( my all time favorite guitar. kinda sad i will never get my hands on that one

I rented a Priest DVD from Neflix not too long ago, can't remember which one now. There was an old video of them playing a British TV show or something. They were all dressed up like hippies, I guess that was before Halford got into S&M They played "Dreamer Deceiver" and I gotta say I was blown away by Tipton's playing of that solo. He nailed it! Not the fastest, most shredding lead work from the Priest, but it fits the song perfectly and sounds great.

Well i found that video again( had not seen it for years) , i must admit that Glens vibrato is better, and that KK's jam is'nt as special as it sounded to me when i was younger but still good.

Ya he doesn't have allot on Marty in terms ov lead playing.

And I defeninatly don't think they're the best guitar duo, Marty in Becker man. But neither one is 'back up player'.
