Warren played a snakeskin strat head with a single coil in the neck, and you could tell a lot of his leads were played off the neck p/u without a lot of distortion to the point of almost being clean. He did bring out a Skull and Blood Drip that appeared to have been a Charvel. I'm pretty sure the snakeskin was a Performance, but wasn't close enough to tell for sure.
Right on both counts, the Blood Drip's a Charvel and the snakeskin is a Performance. He also had the new Crossed Swords with him, but he didn't play it (I was at that show, too).

He completely killed "Body Talk". Never seen him play that one so well. The opening band was standing on the side of the stage and they were just glued to him.

Dman Steven Pearcy looks like Freddy Krugger on that pic.
Time has not been kind to him.

      WD is an awesome player.

I was gonna say, all the "Pepsi, and other soft-drinks" have really taken a toll on old Stevie, along with time.

Warren is also a VERY kickass player

No shit..not a Marshall in the bunch! I had front row seats for RNS a couple years ago. All I saw was plexi boxes, not sure if they were real or dummies? Truth be told, I was like "why-TF is he using plexi's"? Guess he probably wasn't!

I caught the show tonight in Pittsburgh. That's the gear...the rack with the SLO & the Diezel...12 Marshall cabs with the old basketweave grillcloth.

Warren is always so ON whenever I've seen him. He's just so smooth up there...playing the most killer stuff like its nothing....totally effortless.

The band was really great overall. I was impressed with Pearcy. He sounded really good. Much better than I ever remember him sounding live back in the day.

But Warren's tone...So Killer. Sounded all SLO to me. He played that Snakeskin with the neck single coil for almost all of the show.

Warren did play a new Charvel Crossed Swords for two songs after a string broke on the Snakeskin. The tone really got thinner when he switched to the Swords guitar.

And.......Yes. C.C. has really gotten better over the years.

I am tempted to go see the tour just for Ratt. I could care less about White Lion without Vito and I think Poisen had a lot to do with why Nirvana killed our music.

Well, White Lion is off the tour, and Poison's set is the same every year.

Go just to see Warren, it's worth it!

White Lion is still being advertised at the show in my area this August. Ratt, Poison and White Lion, I think on the 3rd. They're playing at a local sports complex, which is considerably smaller than the colluseum in Oakland where I've seen them in the past.

White Lion is not doing the tour. A band from Sweden called Vains of Jenna is the opening act. They remind me of Shotgun Messiah, Faster Pussycat, LA Guns, but the lead guitarist has very Slashlike leads. They were a decent opening act. Ratt was damn sure worth seeing, and Poison put on a good show also. Good seats in Charlotte were $31.00, so it's not like it's that expensive of a show to catch. Warren D is damn sure worth the price of admission.

Caught the show last night here in CT. As others have stated, Warren was completely ON. Diezel all night long. Soldano was not even turned on. He broke a string 3 songs in on the Performance guitar. Band sounded good. Setlist was as mentioned in an earlier post.

The big surprise was Pearcy. I was expecting the worst but he was quite good. He passed a few of the high vocals to Corabi but it did not matter. I think it would have been fun to see Croucier doing his stage show. Warren providing the majority of the stage activity was a little weird.

                        I have to say I prefer Warren's Soldano tone better . . . . . .

Skipped Poison. My 7 yr old was there to see Ratt ONLY \m/

It's his live playing mixed with some serious chemical substances that bothers me,,,, it's a shame. If he really is sober this time, that means he can play like CC,,,,,not some wasted, incoherent version of himself. So I agree, CC has/had ability. By todays standards, he's a master shredder. Even back in the day, he always played well to accent the songs on the albums, melodically and shred-wise.
It's tough listening to people who cannot play because they are smashed.
Some people can do it very well though, but I'm talking drugs here, not booze. Too much booze will take down every great player cuz of the muscle control you lose. But I've heard guys play, including myself while feeling pretty tall sound really good. It opened a creative hallway for me when I played, but booze took me into the mud-lol. It's no different than going into GC and hearing someone try and play Jeff Beck that can't play Robin Crosby or CC DeVille licks as it is, sober as a priest. It's painful and a mood mauler if you ask me. This is not a do drugs and play message, maybe-lol
Not helping the situation since 1965!

Warren is very consistent. I have seen him many times since the original reunion in the 90s, and he always sounds great. He still delivers what you would expect from him and hasn't lost anything over the years.

When I saw him this summer, he was using the Soldano/Diezel rig in the photo with (mainly) his snakeskin strat.
