I have a copy of Maximum Guitar magazine from September 1997, where Chris states that he and Blackie are using Sansamps on the road because Marshalls are too temperamental. He also speks about his choice of pickups : "I want the loudest,gnarliest pickup there is, so I use 19k's with double magnets."

I have that guitar mag also. Yeah the pickups have been mostly Duncan Distortions but I've also seen him use a Duncan Invader, Dimarzio PAF and he has talked about J90 Jackson pickups as well. Sansamps are mentioned on some of the CD notes but I've never seen them on stage with Chris.
