it's not a capo, it's just a hair scrunchie.
it helps mute open strings when he's tapping.

From the first clip...quite amazing, however the real test is to do it on stage, spotlights only, pyro going off, in front of several thousand screaming fans with camera's rolling after first partying with the groupies before the show for several hours.
